Hawzah News Agency (Sanandaj, Iran) – A group of Tanzanian university professors, students and Sunni clerics visited the University of Islamic Sects in Kurdistan, Iran on Saturday, April 15th, ۲۰۱۷, and attended classes to familiarize with the educational system there.
Kamran Fathollahi, interim dean of the university, made some remarks during the visit saying, “The Tanzanian delegation is here to meet with the university students in Iran; they are going to hold a special meeting with a group of Iranian female seminary students. They also plan to have a meeting with the representative of Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, in Kurdistan province.
Head of the University of Islamic Sects’ branch in Sanandaj further added, "The purpose of these meetings between university delegations from different Muslim countries is to boost mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among different Islamic sects."
"Such visits play a crucial role in enhancing Islamic unity among different Muslim sects; the current problems in the Islamic world are caused by ignorance, misunderstanding among the followers of different sects while the enemies are taking advantage of such conditions," Fathollahi concluded.
